Darrelle Revis injury: Jets CB scheduled for Oct. 18 surgery
The New York Jets cornerback, Darrelle Revis, will have to undergo surgery to have a fresh torn ACL repaired on Thursday, Oct. 18, according to a close source J. McManus. After they place him on the IR, The Jets do create an extra roster spot opening.
New York had intended to put Revis on the IR earlier to place him on IR, on the off-chance that Revis could return during the playoffs (or the Super Bowl). But now the defensive back's season is officially over. The injury occurred during a Week 3 victory over the Miami Dolphins. The next day, it was announced that Revis would likely miss the remainder of the season.
