Tim Tebow hoping for bigger role with New York Jets

New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow isn't giving up on his designs to be a starting quarterback in the NFL, even with Gang Green.

"I'm working on a lot of things and feeling like I'm getting better," Tebow told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News on Thursday. "Looking forward to one day being able to show some of those things ... You never know for me. My role, it could expand."

Tebow has received more fanfare, positive and negative, than any "personal punt protector" in NFL history. Some in the media have called for Tebow to replace Jets starter Mark Sanchez, but he says the team traded for him to make Sanchez a better player.
